Derby's 'quadruple lock'

We will make you an offer based on any one of the following forms of assessment:

Predicted grades

If you applied to university via UCAS to study at university in the 2020/21 academic year and your application was accompanied by predicted grades, then we will use those to consider your application and make you an offer. If you didn't apply via UCAS or if your UCAS application did not contain predicted grades, then we will accept statements from your school or college verifying these predictions, or we may instead invite you to a virtual interview and/or take into account your previous educational attainment (eg GCSEs).

Please note that some courses have very specific qualification requirements, so it may not be possible to make offers based on predicted grades for all subjects for reasons outside of our control. This includes some health and teaching courses, where the regulatory bodies stipulate minimum qualifications in order to practise in these professions. Some courses may be full but we may be able to offer you an alternative course for this year or defer your application for our next intakes, starting in 2021.

Teacher-assessed grades

These are the grades sent by your school or college to examination boards, prior to the moderation process that led to the results you received on 13 August.

We will need to receive verification of these grades, either via UCAS or your school or college, so please contact us to discuss this further so we can help to advance your application.

Mock exam grades

We will accept mock examination grades secured during the 2019/20 academic year, providing these are verified by your school or college. Please contact us to discuss this further.

Grades awarded by examination bodies on 13 August 2020

If the grades you were awarded on 13 August 2020 are the highest, we will accept these for admission.
