Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship Level 4

The Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship (Level 4) develops the skills and knowledge needed to support and coordinate projects within organisations. You’ll work with teams to help plan, deliver and control project activities, monitor progress, manage risks and contribute to achieving project goals.

What you will do

• Support the delivery of project work and project activities.
• Help prepare plans, schedules and risk assessments.
• Monitor progress, report on outcomes and assist stakeholders.
• Communicate with team members, clients and suppliers.
• Apply project management tools and techniques.
• Contribute to problem solving, decision making and continuous improvement.

How the apprenticeship works

• On-the-job experience supported by structured training.
• Build a portfolio of evidence showing how you apply your learning.
• You must hold Level 2 English and Maths before final assessment.
• Your workplace duties will need to include project work to develop your competence.

End-Point Assessment (EPA)

When you and your employer agree you are ready, you will complete:

• Written project report with presentation and questioning: reporting on a project you’ve worked on.
• Professional discussion: based on your portfolio of evidence and project experience.
• Final grade: Pass, Merit or Distinction.

The degree apprenticeship is designed to:

• Develop expertise in cost planning, procurement, contract law, risk management, sustainability, and project financial control.
• Prepares apprentices for the End-Point Assessment (EPA) and professional chartership (MRICS/MCIOB).

Upon completion of the degree apprenticeship, graduates progress to chartered status with RICS or CIOB and into professional roles such as Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Estimator, or Project Surveyor within construction, infrastructure, and property sectors.

IELTs English language requirements: 5.5 (with 5.0 in each skills area)
