Student support

Life as a student is exciting and fun, but it can also feel daunting at times – particularly if you have a disability, long-term condition, or are responsible for looking after others. We offer a range of services to support you during your application and when you start studying with us.

We really want you to be successful and enjoy your time at Derby and we are here to support you with anything that may impact on your wellbeing or your academic performance or your experience while you are a student.

Student Wellbeing provides support to all of our students for many different reasons. You may benefit from support with your wellbeing, health, disability, funding or other aspects of your life.

Our services are free, confidential, and available to all students. If you would like to get in touch with our Student Wellbeing team, please complete this form and you will receive a response within 2 working days.

If you require urgent support, during the working hours of the University, please call Student Wellbeing. Outside of working hours, you may find it helpful to contact the Student Space phoneline or Student Space text support.

You may also want to check out the Student Space website which has a range of information and tools, designed to support you to prepare for and make the most of your university experience.
