Learning and Skills Assessor Level 3

Course description

The role of the learning and skills assessor can be found in all sectors where learning, training and development are required. For example, but not limited to:

A learning and skills assessor will be responsible for ensuring they are occupationally competent in the sector they are assessing in. Ordinarily, they would have been working in their sector for a number of years.

The broad purpose of the role is to assess candidates against agreed standards of competence using a range of assessment methods.

Throughout your apprenticeship you will gather evidence against the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSB’s) as set out in the standard to build your portfolio. Your learning is built around key Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs) defined in the apprenticeship standard, including:
