Living in halls is a great way to meet other students and make new friends. If you accept a place through Clearing, you can apply for halls online once your offer is confirmed.

How to apply for halls if you're a Clearing applicant

If you accept a place through Clearing, you just need to follow these simple steps to secure your room in halls. Please be aware that some rooms will no longer be available at this late stage.

  • Wait a few hours after you have accepted your offer so that the updated admissions data can come through to our accommodation system
  • To apply online you need to set up a Student Living account. You will need your 9-digit student number starting with 100. You should find this on correspondence from our Admissions team. After you have entered your number, click Generate Password and a password will be emailed to you
  • Pay your £50 deposit to secure your booking. This will be deducted from your first term’s rent
  • Contact the Student Housing Centre if you are experiencing any problems in applying for halls and they will be happy to help. They can also advise you about what private accommodation is available
