Pacific Rim Investment Value Index (PRIVI)

Derby International Business School is pleased to announce the Launch Event of the Pacific Rim Investment Value Index (PRIVI) and the Annual Release of the Pacific Rim Life Security Index (PRLSI).

As home to the world's two largest economies and accounting for more than half of global trade, the Pacific Rim has become the central arena for the reallocation of international capital.

The Pacific Rim Investment Value Index (PRIVI), covering 43 economies, is a new tool designed to help people better understand where long-term investment opportunities are strongest across the Pacific Rim. In today’s rapidly changing world, global investment is shifting, and traditional credit ratings often focus only on short-term risks. PRIVI takes a different approach. It looks beyond the next few years and focuses on long-term value—helping investors, businesses, and policymakers make smarter, future-focused decisions.

Hosted by Professor Qile (Horace) He, University of Derby, and Professor Zhicheng Chen, Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance, this free event is designed for a diverse audience with an interest in global investment, economic strategy, and international business, including investors, policymakers, business leaders, academics, researchers, and students seeking insight into emerging global markets. Through the expert-led presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, participants will deepen their knowledge of evolving global investment trends, connect with industry and academic leaders, and enhance their ability to make informed, future-focused decisions in an increasingly complex international landscape.

The event will finish with networking over a buffet lunch.
