Spa therapy products are good for students’ careers

Career prospects for University of Derby students are getting an invigorating boost from two leaders in the international spa industry.

The producers of Caudalie and [ comfort zone ] products are giving Spa Management undergraduates the chance to take part in internships and training programmes following a deal to use their industry-renowned brands in the Buxton Campus’s award-winning Devonshire Spa.

“This deal will expose our students to the best international brand leaders the industry has to offer,” said Isobel Stockdale, Deputy Head of Hotel, Resort and Spa Management at the University of Derby

“It will mean working with leaders in the industry around the world.”

The holistic approach taken by the Devonshire Spa is to be boosted with the arrival of Italian brand [ comfort zone ] offering its range of powerful products, treatments and rituals - all designed to combine the very best scientific research with the highest quality natural ingredients to treat the whole body and promote a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

French company Caudalie bases its anti-ageing products on environmentally-friendly plant ingredients derived from vine and grape extracts to enhance cell renewal and restore the skin’s youthfulness and firmness.

[ comfort zone ] is about to begin interviewing Buxton undergraduates to work in a pop-up spa in Centre Parcs, while Caudalie has internships at its stunning headquarters in a French vineyard.

The Devonshire Spa was voted Day Spa of the Year 2016 and has been nominated for the same title next year.
