Navigate to the learning platform

Your username is the email you used to sign up to the course, if you cannot remember your password, you can reset this using the 'Forgot your password?' link on the log in screen.

If you have completed the course, you can download your certificate by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Select Dashboard on the left-hand side navigation
  3. Select Achievements on the top navigation
  4. Select the course you want to download the certificate for
  5. Select the download button from the pop-up box

Please note: If you have not yet completed the course criteria, the certificate will not be available to download and you should review the course content to ensure you have completed all elements.

  2. This link will take you to a catalogue of courses that you can browse
  3. To enrol, you will need to sign up
  4. “Sign up” button is in the left-hand side navigation bar
  5. Once signed in to your account, in the catalogue, select the course you wish to study, then select the "Learn More " button on the course
  6. Select the “Enrol” button
  7. Once enrolled, that course will appear on your dashboard
  8. Go to your dashboard (left-hand side navigation) and select the “start course” button

100% online study mode means that you are not required to attend University campuses to study this course, but can do it anywhere with internet access.

Time commitment will vary, and each course will provide its own guidance on the expected hours of study. Participation is flexible and can be undertaken at your leisure.

These are 100% online and are delivered via the online virtual learning environment. The courses are self-paced private study with no formal assessment or grades.

You can study as much or as little of the course as you wish and you are not obliged to complete the course.

The course materials are licensed with Creative Commons Non-commercial Share-Alike license which means they can be reused provided you follow the terms and conditions explained to you at enrolment.

There is absolutely no cost to study our free online courses and there are no hidden costs either. The E-Certificate are issued to you without a charge.

These courses do not hold any university credits, so they can’t be transferred onto other degree programmes and courses.

You will need access to the internet whether it is on your PC, tablet, mobile phone or other electronic devices, as well as a valid email address to register with our online learning environment in order to take part in the course.

If you have a technical issue, we advise you to contact our online learning environment provider (Blackboard). If you are looking for help with your course, you can email the online learning team.

This is a free course, so there is no refund to be issued. If you are not satisfied with this course, you can leave it at any time and find an alternative that will support your requirements.

Our free online courses are open for a set period of time only which will be clearly specified in advance. The course E-Certificate can only be earned whilst the course is open, however, once the course has closed, you will still be able to access the learning materials, if required. We recommend you to check these pages regularly for any updates, alternatively follow us on social media to keep informed on new course updates and more.

Our courses support Continuing Professional Development (CPD) but are not formally accredited. Acceptance of CPD hours may vary depending on your professional body or employer.
