About

I am a Senior Lecturer in International Strategy Management and Risk and Business Continuity Management, and also lead on international activity for Derby Management School and Derby Business School.

I hold programme leadership for the fulltime MBA Global and MBA Global Finance courses at Derby Management School and the MSc Strategic Management course at Botswana Accountancy College - a collaborative partner of the University of Derby.

Additionally, I have held external examiner responsilibities at both Coventry University and the University of Bedfordshire.

Teaching responsibilities

I teach undergraduate modules in Global Business and Strategy and at postgraduate level, Strategic Management and Leadership, Risk Management in a Global Context, and International Business Economcs and Strategy.

Research interests

My research interests are in the areas of strategy development and implementation as well as cultural, psychological and organisational determinants of risk management, crisis management and business continuity.

Experience in industry

Prior to entering higher education, I gained eight years of professional experience working in both the banking and energy sectors.

International experience

I have taught throughout the world for 20 years and hold visiting lecturer positions at universities and higher education institutions in Germany, India, Vietnam, China and Botswana.
