About

I am a postgraduate researcher in Health Psychology at the University of Derby. My research reflects my passion for working in and improving end-of-life care, focusing on healthcare professionals’ experiences of patient death and subsequent development of death competency.

My MSc research explored the effect of healthcare professionals’ death anxiety on patient-practitioner communication in hospital settings, with my current PhD research building on this. Alongside my research, I also work as an End of Life Doula and Director of End of Life Doula UK.
