Derby Innovation Accelerator video transcript

The Derby Innovation Accelerator has supported over 130 Derby City businesses to access funding, spark innovation and create new jobs.

Over the past year, the project has allocated £230,000 of funding to drive growth, empowered 24 entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into reality, created nine new businesses and 16 new jobs, enabled 12 organisations to develop new products to stay ahead of the competition.

Accelerated innovation with 31 organisations adopting new technology and 23 accessing high level expertise through knowledge transfer activity, helping organisations push boundaries with cutting edge ideas.

Businesses supported operate across a range of industry sectors that are shaping the future of the city.

These include rail infrastructure, nuclear innovation, waste management, aerospace, manufacturing, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical, digital innovation and design.
