Advanced Manufacturing Support Project

A Series of Workshops for Advanced Manufacturing Businesses in Derbyshire

throughout March and April 2026

Delivered in partnership with Derbyshire County Council and East Midlands Chamber, the Advanced Manufacturing Support Project is designed to strengthen Derbyshire’s position as a hub for advanced manufacturing by equipping local SMEs and micro-businesses with the knowledge, skills, and connections they need to thrive. Through a targeted programme of workshops and events, the project will address key challenges faced by smaller businesses, including accessing supply chain opportunities, adopting digital technologies, developing talent pipelines, and meeting sustainability requirements.

By focusing on practical, actionable content, the programme ensures that participants leave with tools and strategies they can immediately apply to grow and compete in this high-value sector. The workshops have been carefully curated to align with the project’s objectives and the needs of Derbyshire businesses. Each session will run for three hours and combine expert insights, real-world case studies, and interactive exercises to deliver maximum impact. Topics include supply chain integration, digital transformation, workforce development through apprenticeships, collaboration for innovation, and operational excellence through sustainability.

Together, these sessions will help businesses build resilience, improve competitiveness, and contribute to the long-term growth of the advanced manufacturing sector in Derbyshire.

Eligibility Criteria: Please note, these workshops are aimed at those businesses operating within the sphere of Advanced Manufacturing and who are based within the Derbyshire County Council Local Authority Area. Bookings outside these criteria will be respectfully declined, but we will be in touch to discuss other support mechanisms which may be available.
