THEO:
Hello. I'm Theo Paphitis and I have the pleasure of being a Visiting Professor here at the University of Derby.

If you'd have said to me, even a year ago that I would be here today at the University of Derby as a Visiting Professor. I would have said, ‘Really?’ But then you’ve got to remember that I have some great friends here at the University that I've had for, I would say, hundreds of years., Well, certainly over 30 years.

And at last, they’ve managed to persuade me to get involved.

So well done them.

If you want to succeed in business entrepreneurship in the real world, you need more than just academic knowledge.
And that's what's brilliant about the University of Derby is the fact that in every degree, entrepreneurship and enterprise is embedded and real world skills, which is why we're launching The Chancellor's Entrepreneurs’ Club, which is going to be launched today, and is going to be really exciting.

I would say to every student who wants to be out there, being an entrepreneur, being in business - If you manage and there's so limited spaces and so much demand.

But if you manage to get involved with the Chancellor's Entrepreneur Club, then I promise you that's going to hold you in fantastic stead for the rest of your business career.
