Dr Alison Hardman

About

I am the Head of Discipline: Initial Teacher Training and Education (ITT/E).

I have a history of teaching English in the secondary sector and have held a range of leadership posts with responsibility for both curriculum and pastoral management.

Currently, I lead an area with a rich portfolio from employment-based routes to QTS, to international master's-level professional programmes. Teacher agency is important to me, and so equipping beginning teachers with the necessary, and most appropriate, tools to achieve positive outcomes for their learners is central to my purpose.
