About

I am the Head of Discipline for Business and Management and an Associate Professor in Learning and Teaching. This means I teach and research but also work to develop my discipline area and the academics working within it.   

My main areas of academic interest are Change Management and Higher Education Pedagogies.  

I have also worked as an External Examiner at several universities including Aston University and the University of Plymouth.  

Teaching responsibilities

I have taught and supervised at every level in Higher Education, including the delivery of several courses overseas. I am currently co-leading a post-experience module in  'Innovation and Change Management' and am supervising three PhD candidates and one DProf candidate.

Professional interests

I am a Senior Editor with the Journal of Applied Research in Higher Education (JARHE) which is part of the HETL network.

I am Country Director (UK) for the International Higher Education Teaching and Learning network (IHETL).

Research interests

I am interested in Change Management and Higher Education pedagogies.

Membership of professional bodies

I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I have worked as an external expert for several Higher Education Institutions, including:

International experience

I have worked in a variety of countries including the USA, Denmark, Kazhakstan, Malaysia, Sweden, and France. The purpose of the trips varied from acting as a 'link tutor', quality management lead, troubleshooting, or developing international contacts.
