About

I am a final year postgraduate research student at the College of Arts, Humanities, and Education, Department of Education under the supervision of Dr Geraldene Codina as my director of studies, and Dr Sean Broome as my second supervisor. My PhD thesis examines the epidemic of dyslexia in higher education (HE) by arguing that the concept of dyslexia is socially constructed. The concept is socially constructed through the marketisation of HE, which makes consumers transforming dyslexic students to consumers of support services offered by their university making them perform the role of the patient. This performance will have a negative influence on universities.
