About

I am a Lecturer of Forensic Science (CSI) who is passionate about sharing my love of the subject through teaching and research. I hold a Master's degree in Forensic Science and Criminal Justice and I am currently working towards my PhD in Forensic Science. My main area of focus is Bloodstain Pattern Analysis, with particular interest in the classification of bloodstain patterns.

Teaching responsibilities

I teach on the BSc (Hons) Forensic Science and BSc (Hons) Forensic Science with Criminology programmes.

In addition, I supervise undergraduate research projects in the area of Bloodstain Pattern Analysis.

Professional interests

I aim to deliver engaging sessions that aid students in developing both their academic knowledge and professional skills. Being passionate about my subject is important to me, and I try to bring this love and enthusiasm to every session I deliver, whether it is a lecture, practical, or workshop. In every session I encourage students to actively participate and engage with their learning by utilising a range of methods to promote this. I am currently completing the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher and Professional Education to become a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Research interests

I am passionate about Bloodstain Pattern Analysis, particularly around the classification of bloodstain patterns, and the effect of surface texture on the formation of bloodstains.
