An Afternoon with Derby County Football Club

We hosted an exclusive VIP event at Derby County Football Club on Monday 30 March 2026. The event was hosted by Chris Hall, Programme Leader for Football Journalism, who welcomed guests to the stadium. This was followed by a Q&A session with a panel consisting of Stephen Pearce (DCFC CEO), Simon Carnall (DCFC COO), Rob Price (First Team Sports Science and Medicine Lead), Josh Vickers (DCFC First Team Goalkeeper) and Sam Westley (U15-U16s Individual Player Development).

It was an amazing opportunity for guests to get a rare glimpse into the world of professional sport. They also had the chance to connect with our academics and current students, as well as participate in a changing room and pitch side tour.
