Where to park on moving in day

Your parking options on arrival

There are car parks at Peak Court, Princess Alice Court, Nunnery Court and St Christopher’s Court. When you arrive at these halls, please park in the car park and allow yourself one hour to unload your belongings. Please note only one car per person is allowed in the hall car parks during Welcome Weekend when people are moving in. After you have unpacked your car, you will need to move it to a public car park nearby.

Agard Court and Darley Bank don’t have their own car parks but there are public car parks and street parking nearby. The list below gives you suggestions on where to park on arrival if there is no car park at the hall, or where your parents/guardians can park if they want to stay for longer than the allotted hour.

Car parks and street parking near Derby halls

Please note that the prices given here are for cars. Parking a van may cost more. Most on-street, metered parking requires payment by coins or cashless payment via MIPERMIT. Prices are correct at the time of writing.

Flamsteed Court DE22 1GA

• Markeaton Park public pay and display car park DE22 3BG (A38/A52 junction) up to four hours for £4.20. (coins or cashless via MIPERMIT)
• Mackworth Road from £2.50 for up to four hours. Free at weekends.

Darley Bank DE1 3PF

• Street parking on Bridge Street DE1 3LD and Brook Street DE1 3PF, from £2.50 for up to four hours
• Willow Row Car Park (off Brook Street) - £3 all day (pay by mobile)
• Brook Street 1 & 2 NCP car parks- £2.45 for up to six hours (pay online or via the app)

Agard Court DE1 1DZ

• Ford Street surface car park from £2.50 for two hours
• Stafford Street RCP car park DE1 1JL £3.50 all day (machine) or £3 (online)

• Bridge Street, parking on the road from £2.50 for up to four hours

St Christopher’s Court DE22 3FY and Nunnery Court DE1 3LQ

• Friar Gate street parking DE1 1EZ £4.40 for up to four hours
• Mackworth Road street parking DE22 3BL £2.50 for up to four hours. No charge at weekends
• Vernon Street parking DE1 1FR £1.40 for up to four hours
