Career Fairs

The Careers and Employment Service hosts Career Fairs for current students and recent graduates. These events are a great way to meet employers, find job opportunities, explore different career options, and find out what organisations are looking for.

Whether you're searching for a graduate job, placement, internship, or just want to improve your networking skills, Career Fairs are for everyone. 

We run both general fairs and events tailored to specific colleges. In the past, we've welcomed a wide range of employers, including Rolls-Royce, JCB, Experian, Enterprise Mobility, and the NHS.

Part-time Jobs and Volunteering Fair
Wednesday 23rd September 2026 | Kedleston Road

You’ll have the chance to meet local employers and charities offering flexible roles designed to fit around university life.

Graduate Careers and Placements Fair
Thursday 15th October 2026 | Kedleston Road

This is our biggest event of the year, where you’ll find over 50 top employers on campus.With roles available for a wide range of degree backgrounds, it’s the perfect time to explore your options and plan your next steps.

Engineering and Technology Careers Fair
Thursday 29th October 2026 | Markeaton Street

This specialist Careers Fair connects you with leading employers from across the engineering, technology and built environment sectors who recruit for more than just technical roles, giving pathway opportunities that you may not have considered before. 

All our Career Fairs have a ‘quiet hour’ prior to the main event for anyone who wants to attend in a less busy environment, and a quiet room accessible throughout the day.
