Undergraduate interviews and portfolios

Your interview or portfolio at the University of Derby

At the University of Derby, several of our courses require an interview or a portfolio - this is completely normal and usually down to the course-specific entry requirements.

Our interviews are designed not only for us to assess your suitability for the course, but also for you to make sure you are choosing the right course and if the university is right for you.

Your aim with your portfolio is to demonstrate a high level of engagement with your chosen subjects. We want to see what motivates you and what inspires you. Most of all make sure you are proud of what you are showing us. We look for a broad range of skills, ideas and thinking processes. Our key aim is to look at your portfolio to see your potential as a student at the University of Derby.

We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Derby!
