Whether you're a professional photographer, content creator, local business, student or recent graduate, our flexible studio hire gives you access to professional-quality spaces and equipment in a dedicated, controlled environment.

Hourly, half-day and full-day bookings are available, subject to availability.

Studio Hire Rates

3-hour and 6-hour bookings are available outside teaching periods and are subject to studio and technician availability.

New Graduate Offer: University of Derby alumni receive 20% off studio hire for their first year after graduation.

Studio A & B

Our larger studio space provides an 11m x 8m controlled environment, ideal for photography, fashion, portraits, graduation photography, content creation and larger-scale shoots.

Studio C

A dedicated 5.5m x 4m product photography studio featuring a professional product table, ideal for product photography, e-commerce imagery, branding, and smaller content projects.

Your studio hire includes access to a professional creative environment, with a range of equipment to support your shoot.

Studio facilities include:

• Professional backdrop support systems with white and black backdrops
• Professional flash and continuous lighting kits, available by request
• Softboxes, reflectors and lighting modifiers
• Boom arms and heavy-duty stands
• Wireless triggering systems
• Free Wi-Fi
• Technical support for troubleshooting and queries

A free basic equipment/studio orientation is included with your first session and is arranged by appointment.

Important Information

To help us provide a safe and professional studio environment, please note:

• Clients must provide their own camera and laptop.
• Studios must be left clean and in the same condition as they were found.
• A minimum of 72 hours' notice is required for cancellations.
• If you intend to bring props or additional equipment into the studio, a risk assessment must be completed and approved before your booking.
• We recommend arranging a studio tour before booking to ensure the space is suitable for your requirements.
• Bookings are subject to technician availability. Annual leave and staff training may affect availability, particularly outside teaching periods.
• If backdrops are damaged or become unusable during your booking, replacement/cleaning charges may apply at £10 per metre.
• Additional time beyond your agreed booking period will incur a £25 surcharge.
