Dr Reza Safari is a Lecturer at the University of Derby. His area of research is in prosthetics and orthotics, with a special interest in manufacturing and evaluating prostheses and orthosis, applied health research, systematic review and meta-analysis, and management and rehabilitation of long-term neuromuscular conditions.

Malcolm Schofield is the module leader for the Advanced Quantitative Research Methods module on the MRes Psychology programme and teach across a wide range of modules at undergraduate level including various research methods modules, Human Behaviour and Evolution, and Anomalous and Parapsychology.

Charlotte's research focuses on factors affecting disordered eating (e.g., nature connection, post-traumatic growth, social influences) and the wellbeing of athlete populations.

Rachel Searcey is a Lecturer of Health and Social Care. My current research focuses on sexually exploited children and female street-based sex work. It looks at how the sexually exploited child transitions to street-based sex work and the support networks to reduce or stop the pathway into street-based sex work.

Professor of Psychology

David Sheffield is a Professor of Psychology at the College of Health, Psychology and Social Care. He is also Head of Research and Director of Professional Psychology Programmes at the University of Derby Online Learning. He also supervises PhD and Doctorate students. David's work has helped us to understand the impact of stress and pressure on health, wellbeing and performance.
