In England, half of post-16 secondary education focuses on work skills over personal qualities. As in Europe and globally, 'technical' or 'vocational' pathways are rising on the political agenda, yet in institutions such as further education colleges, their programmes and teachers have been impoverished. How did this happen and what comes next? 

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) will run from the 10th-14th February 2025. The week is a great opportunity to highlight the fantastic benefits that an apprenticeship brings to employers, individuals and the economy.
