Making Nature-based Solutions (NbS) work for Business

Wednesday, 1 July 2026 9:00am-11:30am

Room CB2.16 - The Cavendish Building, Agard Street, Derby, DE1 1DZ

Nature recovery offers opportunities for growth, business development and diversification, innovation, and cost savings. In the face of economic and geopolitical pressures, businesses could miss such opportunities. Come to this event to explore, how businesses could balance growth and act for nature as part of Biodiversity Net Gain or green growth strategy. The benefits of supporting nature will be presented alongside an original NbS toolkit developed as part of the funded Better Business 4 Nature (BB4N) Project. The keynote address line-up includes large and small businesses as well as policymakers and regulators. The event contributes to building regional capacity for local nature recovery whilst maximising business benefits. As part of the event you could have an initial chat with NbS experts from the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust about NbS projects and activities you are interested in.
