His expertise and main focus is in the development of visualisation and Virtual Reality (VR) technology to support design and ergonomic evaluation for manufacturing and assembly within sectors such as nuclear, automotive and aerospace industries.

Dr Isaac Thom Shawa

Dr Isaac Thom Shawa is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Microbiology at the University of Derby in the UK. He previously got promoted to Associate Professor at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences in Malawi, where he held various academic and research leadership roles.

Dr Ruth Sims is a senior lecturer in psychology and ergonomics, teaching on-campus psychology, blended learning, and online ergonomics. She has 20 years of experience as a researcher and has now been teaching for over 7 years. Her interests are varied and include social and developmental psychology, companion animals, behaviour change, design ergonomics and cognitive ergonomics.
