Careers in Criminal Justice

About the day

Give your Year 12 and 13 students the opportunity to explore careers in law, policing, forensic psychology, criminology and sociology at our interactive Criminal Justice careers day.

Hosted at One Friar Gate Square, the home of our Law, Policing and Social Science courses, this immersive event offers students the opportunity to experience university-style learning in a professional and inspiring environment.

Students will:

• Take part in university-style taster sessions
• Explore specialist teaching facilities
• Meet recent graduates now working in the sector
• Discover a wide range of career pathways within criminal justice

With two subject taster sessions built into the programme, students can explore multiple disciplines and gain valuable insight into what it is like to study these subjects at university level.

Structure of the day

The day will be structured as below, giving your students the opportunity to have a taster across all subject areas.

09:30am - Arrival

10:00am - Welcome Presentation

10:40am - Morning Subject Taster Session

Students choose between Policing, Criminology, Forensic Psychology, Sociology or Law.

11:55am - Lunch

12:45pm - Afternoon Subject Taster Session

Students choose between Policing, Criminology, Forensic Psychology, Sociology or Law.

14:00pm - Close and Evaluations

14:30pm - Departure
