What to expect

With the government setting out their long-term plan to reform the education system in the schools white paper, as well as proposals on developing a skilled workforce in the post-16 education and skills white paper, this is a pivotal time in education.

Delegates can expect a focused and engaging programme that includes:

• Keynote: A response to the Schools White Paper with Sir David Carter, former National Schools Commissioner and Matthew Crawford, Trust Leader, Embark Federation
• A focus on social mobility with Professor Kathryn Mitchell CBE DL, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, University of Derby
• Expert input including with leading professionals from the University of Derby’s highly-regarded Institute of Education and Skills

A working lunch will be provided, along with opportunities for discussion and networking through the event.
