Derby University halls – The cheapest way to live in Derby*

With prices from £107 per week, all bills included, no guarantor required and just £50 to pay upfront – our halls of residence offer one clear price from the start. Shorter contracts mean you only pay for the time you’re here, keeping overall costs lower than private housing.

Apart from the deposit, there is nothing to pay till you move into halls.  Monthly payments can be arranged if you prefer and residents at all our halls enjoy free events and activities, cycle storage and possessions insurance for items in their room. Finally, there's also the opportunity to earn some money by working for the halls team.

I've lived in halls pretty much all my years at University and I wouldn't change it for the world. The Hall Managers are very kind and they are always ready to help.

Did you know?

Many private accommodation providers promote a cheaper weekly charge but don't include bills in the price or have 52-week contracts so they end up being much more expensive overall. University halls include all the bills, have shorter, 42-week contracts and only ask for an up-front payment of £50.

I was worried about not making any friends in university so I opted for halls because that meant I would be able to meet new people. Thankfully, my flatmates were kind and we got along nicely.
