Image Reporting Suite

The suite is kitted out with 15 reporting workstations which benefit from PACS and RIS systems installed on and will be used by students on the Pg Cert Image Reporting programme, as well as students studying on the Pre-Registration Radiography and Ultrasound courses.

The Image Reporting Suite was funded by a successful bid for funding from Health Education England which costed over £100,000 to renovate.

The Image Reporting Suite enables our pre-registration students to gain valuable image interpretation skills as well as helping those on our PG Cert Image Reporting hone their image reporting skills. The development of reporting radiographers is an initiative that ultimately means faster diagnosis for patients and is a key part of the NHS Cancer Plan.

The Image Reporting Suite houses 15 reporting workstations, all of which have Diagnostic Quality Display monitors (6MP) as well as a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS) system which allows reporting students to view and report images as they would in a clinical department, and replicating clinical workflow.
