A handy checklist before you arrive

Before you arrive

We know you can’t wait to get started, so before you arrive, follow our simple checklist to make your journey to university as smooth as possible:

1. Create your University of Derby account

You will receive instructions via email in the next few weeks.

2. Complete your online enrolment

Check our FAQs or submit an enquiry if you need any help. You can also view our digital guide to enrolment and induction.

3. Familiarise yourself with UDo, the student portal

Access your timetable, Unimail and University Induction (available two working days after you’ve created your university account).

4. Complete your online University Induction via the ‘My Blackboard’ tile in UDo

You’ll receive instructions via email. There will be another part you’ll need to complete once you’re here.

5. Download the DerbyUni app

To access everything you need on the go.

6. Register at a local doctor’s surgery if you’re moving away from home

We have an on-site GP at Kedleston Road called Park Medical Practice.

7. Make sure your vaccinations are up to date

Including for MenACWY (meningitis) and measles.
